A tight sealing packaging and application device for a cosmetic or care product which contains one or more volatile hydrocarbon solvents, having at least two elements moving against one another for application of the product of which at least one is of a plastic material which does not vary detectably in mass when subjected to prolonged contact with solvent vapor(s).
