PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agent exhibiting high activity against microorganism of the genus Propionibacterium and capable of using for cosmetics or skin as an activating agent, or the like, for acne. SOLUTION: This polyaminoacid derivative is represented by the following formula (I) [X is O, S, NH or NR" and R" is a 1-6C hydrocarbon-based group; R1 is hydrogen, a 1-40C hydrocarbon-based group, or the like; R2 is hydrogen, a 1-8C hydrocarbon-based group, a group of CH2C6H5, CH2C6H4OH, CH2OH, CHOHCH3 or (CH2)t-NH2 ((t) is 3, 4 or 5); R3 is hydrogen or a 1-6C hydrocarbon base group; (n) is >=1 (as an average number) satisfying 100-200,000 molecular weight of the above derivative].
