PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a better operation in the inputting of data as made by continuous scanning while moving an ultrasonic probe and a high speed processing in the generation of a three-dimensional image. SOLUTION: In the inputting of a data made by continuous scanning while moving an ultrasonic probe 20, it is determined whether the position of a scanned surface from which the data is inputted is within an allowable range or not and the results are reported. The data determined to be within the allowable range is regarded as that inputted from a specified inputting position to perform a calculation. This enables accurate inputting of data from a data inputting position closer to the intended distribution and also enables simplifying of calculation thereby achieving a high speed processing.
