PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply device for a carrying article to a belt conveyor capable of certainly preventing occurrence of over-volume caused by intermixture of large grains, flushing, etc., and consequently capable of realizing stable carriage by supply of uniform carrying articles on a belt conveyor device to carry the carrying articles by forming the belt conveyor in a cylindrical or U-shaped carrying form. SOLUTION: A quantitative supply device 52 to discharge specified quantity of delivery articles from a hopper is provided on the hopper 50 to reserve carrying articles input from an input part 50a, a supply conveyor 53 to sypply the delivery articles onto a belt 5 by carrying them is provided between this quantitative supply device 52 and the belt 5, a screen 54 to discharge large grains of more than specified dimensions from the carrying articles is provided on the input part 50a of the hopper 50 or a discharge part of the quantitative supply device 52, and an over-volume restriction means 55 furnished with a volume restriction member 63 to restrict a cross-section area of the carrying articles on a belt 53a of the supply conveyor is provided on the supply conveyor 53.
