PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively, quantitatively and extremely easily assay live Cryptosporidium by using an apparatus generally used in an ordinary inspection agency in a short time. SOLUTION: This method for determining the pathogenic Cryptosporidium in an environment sample is characterized in that Cryptosporidium oocysts in an environment sample is efficiently collected, and the DNA collected only from the alive oocysts in the collected oocysts are assayed.
