PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that oil-water separation becomes imperfect when oil or water is present in a liquid in a particulate state and oil containing a solid such as metal refuse or the like adheres to a flow channel to close the flow channel in an oil-water separation tank for a short time. SOLUTION: A partition plate member provided with barrier regions which allow a flow channel to meander to make the same long and turning the direction of a liquid while generating turbulent streams in the liquid, is provided to the oil-water separation tank which is formed so as to allow the oil and water mixed liquid to flow and receives the liquid on one end side thereof to separate oil and water by utilizing difference in specific gravity and discharges floated oil from the other end thereof. The oil and water mixed liquid is directionally turned when passed through the barrier regions while turblent streams are generated in the liquid. Whereupon, particles in the liquid collide with each other to accelerate the flocculation of oil or water particles or to make oil particles coarse while bonding them to the partition plate member. Accordingly, oil and water are easily separated by difference in specific gravity.
