METHOD FOR DECOMPOSING DIOXINS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the resynthesis of the dioxins once decomposed at high temperature to detoxify. SOLUTION: This method includes a decomposing stage at which the contained dioxins are decomposed by directly heating the matter to be treated such as ash and soil containing the dioxins which superheated steam and a cooling stage for cooling thereafter the treated matter in steam or gaseous nitrogen atmosphere. The temperature of the steam used at the cooling stage is <=150 deg.C. The temperature of the superheated steam used at the decomposing stage is >=300 deg.C.
