PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for corrosion protection of a steel structure in which the application is easy and inexpensive while maintaining the corrosion resistance for a super-long period in the corrosion protection technology of the steel structure. SOLUTION: In the structure and method for corrosion protection by covering the steel surface of the steel structure with a titanium thin sheet, (1) the titanium thin sheet is welded to a metal hanger by the resistance welding after the metal hanger is welded to the steel surface of the steel structure, and (2) the metal hanger welded to the titanium thin sheet is welded to the steel surface of the steel structure after the titanium thin sheet and the metal hanger are welded in advance by the resistance welding.
