PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powdery hair dye composition excellent in preservation stability, good in dyeing power and fastness and capable of increasing production efficiency by improving flow properties and dispersion properties. SOLUTION: This powdery hair dye composition is constituted by blending (A) a dye, (B) an oxidizing agent and (C) a dispersant and the ingredient (A) is at least 2,4-diaminophenoxyethanol sulfate. Or, the composition is obtained by blending (A) a dye, (B) an oxidizing agent and (C) a dispersant and the ingredient (C) is calcium stearate or magnesium stearate.
