<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating hardly decomposable material, etc., in ground water, waste water and soil safely at a low cost, and provide a treatment system therefor. SOLUTION: This hardly decomposable material treatment method uses a means for decomposing the hardly decomposable material in a reducing atmosphere and carriers fixed with micro-organisms which decompose the hardly decomposable material aerobically. Further, a hardly decomposable material treatment device brings the means for decomposing the hardly decomposable material in a reducing atmosphere into contact with liquid or gas which contains the hardly decomposable material in a container changed with the carriers, to which the micro-organisms which aerobically decomposes the hardly decomposable material are immobilized. The hardly decomposable material treatment method is characterized in that volatile organic chlorine compounds such as tetrachloroethylene, trichloroethylene and dichloroethylene particularly in the ground water, waste water and soil are treated.</p> |
