<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treating device and method which enables preventing the deterioration of quality of treated water satisfactorily and making the device compact drastically. SOLUTION: This waste water treating device 10 which aerobically treats the water 2 to be treated in a treatment tank 4 is provided with a partition member 6 which forms flow passages 8a, 8b along the depth direction thereof, an aeration means 12 which aerobically treats the water 2 in the flow passage 8a by aerating the water 2 and forms an upward flow and a downward flow of the water 2 respectively in the flow passages 8a, 8b, a membrane 18 which separates the treated water from the water 2 and granule sludge 5 in the water 2. Therein, the granule sludge 5 grows in the water 2, the water 2 is treated aerobically and the fine sludge is generated while a circulation flow of the the water 2 is formed in the treatment tank 4 by the aeration means 12 and the treated water is separated from the water 2 by the membrane 18. The waste water treating device satisfactorily prevents the outflow of such fine active sludge.</p> |
