PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device enabling reliable unloader control even during abrupt steering. SOLUTION: A control device 12 for controlling the assist steering torque of the electric motor 10 of the electric power steering device has an unloader correcting part 12B for reducing the assist steering torque of the electric motor 10 for correction when a detection signal of a steering angle sensor 16 indicates that steering angle exceeds a predetermined steering angle in the vicinity of the greatest steering angle. Based on a detection signal of the steering speed of a steering system, the unloader correcting part 12B corrects the amount by which the assist steering torque of the electric motor 10 is reduced for correction, in such a way that the greater the steering speed, the greater the amount by which the assist steering torque is reduced for correction. |
