PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the traction performance on a snowy road and the wandering performance in a rain group while restricting the lowering of stability and controllability and the generation of uneven abrasion such as toe-and-heel abrasion in traveling on a dry road in the case of using a pneumatic radial tire as an all season tire for sport utility vehicle(SUV) having a heavy car body weight. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic radial tire having blocks divided by lateral grooves 3 and circumferential main grooves 2 in a tire tread surface, a cross directional sipe 81CM for communicating the blocks with each other is provided. This cross directional sipe 81CM has inner depth parts 810a, 810b, a nearly U-shaped part 810c, and communicating parts 810d, 810e. Groove depth of the circumferential main groove is formed shallower than the groove depth of the lateral groove. Groove depth at a crossing area of the circumferential main groove and the lateral groove is formed the same as the groove depth of the lateral groove. |
