PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil conditioner which is easily handled and well disperses in soils. SOLUTION: A solidification agent for wet soil comprises a dispersion of an anionic water-soluble polymer in an aqueous medium which also contains an ionic polymer dispersant. For the dispersant, either a cationic or an anionic polymer may be used. The solidification agent is obtained by dispersion polymerizing a monomer mixture containing from 5 to 100 mol% (meth)acrylic acid and from 0 to 95 mol% acrylamide in the presence of an ionic polymer dispersant in a saline solution, and may contain a fertilizer component. In the soil-conditioning process, the solidification agent is sprayed onto an arable land or added to a plant growing base for slope spraying. |
