PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of an ink jet recorder that the reproduction range of dark part can not be enlarged without sacrifice of transparent feeling of highlight when a well known ink set is used. SOLUTION: A printer is provided with ink of more than one kind of density for at least one hue and employs a pigment as the coloring material of ink having highest density and a dye as the coloring material of ink having lowest density. In a highlight region having a low input gradation value, an output having transparent feeling can be obtained by employing a light ink of dye positively. In a shadow region having a high input gradation value, dot size can be controlled by employing a dark ink of pigment positively and an output having chroma can be obtained while suppressing bleed (blur) without covering a preceding dot completely. |
