<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide merchandise picking facilities applicable to a large scale system by picking orders for each of customers and shortening lead time from starting of picking to delivery. SOLUTION: This merchandise picking facilities are furnished with a large number of carrying containers 1 to store and carry merchandise ordered by a specific orderer, a slip input area A to input an order slip in each of the carrying containers 1 and a plural number of picking islands P1, P2, and each of the carrying containers 1 is furnished with a picking area B to pick merchandise mentioned on the order slip by stopping at the designated picking islands P1, P2 and a merchandise inspection and packing area D to inspect and pack the merchandise by taking it out from each of the carrying containers 1. The carrying containers 1 stop at the required picking islands P1, P2 by moving at random in accordance with order information and pick the ordered merchandise.</p> |
