PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tightening toll which can eliminate the incomplete tightening as much as possible without degrading the efficiency of the rivet tightening work. SOLUTION: An external pressure is applied to a holding operation unit 13 having a trigger 12 to impart the external pressure, a barrel portion 14 is integrated with the holding operation unit 13, an inner cylindrical portion 15 located substantially parallel to the extending direction of the barrel portion 14 is provided in the barrel portion 14, a jaw 16 which retractably moves along the axial direction of the inner cylindrical portion 15 by the external pressure based on the operation of the trigger 12 is provided in the inner cylindrical portion 15 in a displaceable manner, and an inner holding portion 17 which can hold the inner cylindrical portion 15 in an angular-variable manner is provided across the barrel portion 14 and the inner cylindrical portion 15 so that the retreatable movement of the jaw 16 is substantially orthogonal to a fitted portion irrespective of the direction of the axis of the barrel portion 14.
