PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sediment cleaning device capable of supplying oxygen to a water bottom without causing secondary pollution. SOLUTION: An anode 5 is laid at the water bottoms 9 and 10, a cathode 7 is opposed to the anode 5, and the anode 5 and cathode 7 are connected to a DC power source 3. The water is electrolyzed by the electrodes 5 and 7 arranged in a layer for suspending and settling the sludge 10 depositing on the water bottoms 9 and 10 to generate fine oxygen bubbles on the surface of the anode 5, the bubbles are dissolved in the surrounding water, and oxygen is supplied to the bottoms without causing secondary pollution.
