PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a parasiticide for ectoparasites which exhibits safe and high parasiticidal effect on animals. SOLUTION: This method is carried out by dropping the parasiticide for ectoparasites comprising a liquid preparation for external use containing an essential oil extracted from plants and an insect growth inhibitor as active ingredients on the surfaces of the bodies of animals.
