PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll hemming method and its apparatus efficiently conducting roll hemming by conducting roll hemming of a character line part without changing a large diameter roller and a small diameter roller each other by a robot. SOLUTION: A roller 12 consists of a two step roller having a large diameter part 13 and a small diameter part 14, an outer peripheral flange Pf of an outer panel Po is prelimirarily bent the large diameter part 13 of the roller 12 and then an outer peripheral flange Pf of general parts 210, 220 except a character line part 200 is substantially bent by the large diameter part 13 of the roller 12, further, the character line part 200 is substantially bent the small diameter part 14 of the roller 12.
