PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester in which reaped grain culms can always smoothly be delivered from a reaping section to a threshing feed chain in a proper carrying posture, even when the carriage of the reaped grain culms is stopped to reduce a driving load on a non-reaping work. SOLUTION: This combine harvester is characterized by switching a reaping clutch 19 and a feed chain clutch 15 into switch-on states, respectively, with the lowering of a reaping section to a working position, controlling a speed change device F for a threshing feed chain 6 so that the carrying speed of the threshing feed chain 6 is increased with the increase of a reaped grain culm-carrying speed in a reaping section, and switching the reaping clutch 19 and the feed chain clutch 15 into switch-off states, respectively, with the lifting of the reaping section to a non-working position, and simultaneously controlling the speed change device F so that the carrying speed of the threshing feed chain 5 is decreased to a set speed on the low speed side.
