<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the quantity of light of a light beam for recording a desired image through an extremely inexpensive arrangement. SOLUTION: A quantity of light detection value ad (n, g) is measured for the step number n of a variable transmittance ND filter and a step number n for obtaining a quantity of light detection value ad (n, g) close to a target quantity of light detection value adt (i, g) is determined. Subsequently, a control quantity aom (i) of AOM for setting the quantity of light detection value ad (n, g) at the target quantity of light detection value adt (i, g) is determined and a test pattern is outputted according to these step number(n) and control quantity aom (i) thus determining optimal step number(n) and control quantity aom (i).</p> |
