PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet paper holder with a closing cover without making up and down capable of cutting toilet paper with the cover of the holder being not made up and down. SOLUTION: The toilet paper holder comprises a support base provided with a core body 1 for inserting the toilet paper, right and left side plates 3 having an axis hole to fix the core body and a back plate 4, and a closing cover 6. The cover has a gap inside near an edge part thereof where the paper is able to be drawn when the paper is allowed to pass and the cover is closed wherein at a time of pressing the cover downward, a gap-forming member 7 disposed on the cover transmits the pressing force to the paper.
