PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an electric rice cooker to execute the thermal insulation control with the optimum output considering the irregularity of individual product and the environment (e.g. room temperature, quantity of rice, etc.), by using the feedback control for controlling the output of heat sources for thermal insulation at the time of thermal insulation control. SOLUTION: The electric rice cooker has a current-carrying interval detecting means for detecting the current-carrying interval of a work coil 3 at the time of thermal insulation control and a control means for the feed-back control of the output of heat sources for thermal insulation (a shoulder heater 12 and a thermal insulating heater 10) based on the current-carrying interval detected by the current-carrying interval detecting means. Therefore, the thermal insulation control can be executed with the optimum output without regard to the difference of individual product or the environment.
