PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an antistatic film which gives high antistatic properties even with a relatively thin coating layer, is excellent in adhesion and resistance to transcription to the back surface and is useful as a magnetic card by using a specific antistatic agent as a component of the antistatic film. SOLUTION: Polyester film is coated with an aqueous coating liquid containing (A) an antistatic polymer which is prepared by polymerizing thiophene and/or a thiophene derivative at least on its one surface, dried and drawn to provide an antistatic coating layer with a surface resistivity of 10<5> -10<12>Ω/square. It is preferred that this coating layer is obtained by coating an aqueous coating liquid containing a composition comprising 1-95wt.% of component A and 5-99wt.% of (B) a binder resin with the secondary transition point of 20-150 deg.C which is at least one kind selected from polyester resins, acrylic resins, acryl-modified polyester resins and urethane resins, then drying and drawing. The component A is preferably a (co)polymer mainly comprising the units of the formula (R<1> and R<2> are each H or a 1-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon). |
