PURPOSE: To measure the distance to an object to be detected using a low-output laser diode. CONSTITUTION: Pulse light emitted from an LD 24 is made nearly in parallel by a focusing lens 25 to generate spot beams, is reflected by a 4-face polygon mirror 26, and a pulse counter 29 starts counting the output signal of 30MHz oscillator 30 when emitting pulse beams. When pulse beams reflected from the object to be detected is received by a PD 32, a pulse counter 29 completes counting, a CPU 21 calculates the distance to the object to be detected from the count value from the count value and displays the distance on an LED display 37. |
