PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester resin for coating use which is capable of forming a coating film excellent in processability, fouling resistance, weatherability, hardness, and impact resistance, and to obtain a coating composition using the resin. CONSTITUTION:This resin composition comprises a polyester resin (a) having a number-average mol.wt. of 2,000-20,000 and a hydroxyl value of 30-150 and an amino resin in an amount of 5-50wt.% based on the solid resin (a), the resin (a) being a polyester produced using a polyhydric alcohol component containing 5-40wt.% 1,3-propanediol. |
