The fabrication of footwear coiled ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) sheets comprises bonding of sheets based on EVA modified by inorganic charges treated with peroxide and azo di carbonamides. The resulting coil is continuously heated at its edges (2,2') at 300-400 degreesC to give thermoplasticity or fusion. EMBODIMENT - The sheets (1,1') are pressed together for less than 20 seconds, and then cooled, for use e.g. in shoe ramps coated with leather. |
