PURPOSE: A vestigial sideband receiver for minimizing data loss and a method thereof are respectively provided to prevent data loss by removing obstacles such as a flutter or a noise generated from an airplane. CONSTITUTION: The vestigial sideband receiver for minimizing data loss includes a tuner channel variation circuit(10), an automatically gain control circuit(12), an intermediate frequency/phase lock loop circuit(14) and a confidence coefficient part(16). When a signal lose is generated, the intermediate frequency/phase lock loop circuit(14) is reset except for the tuner channel variation circuit(10) and the automatically gain control circuit(12). When the signal loss reaches to a predetermined signal loss value, the tuner channel variation circuit(10), the automatically gain control circuit(12) and the intermediate frequency/phase lock loop circuit(14) receive the signal again. |
