PURPOSE: A method for converting an originating call in a mobile communication switching system exchanger is provided to solve the inconvenience of a user by improving a call hold function according to a switching function of an incoming call. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication switching system transmits a call switching request signal to a third-party incoming subscriber in order to process a call switching request by an originating subscriber and provides a call holding tone to the originating subscriber(S510). At third-party incoming subscriber information request process(S520), the system transmits a signal requesting information of the third-party incoming subscriber to a home location resistor(HLR). At a third-part incoming subscriber's paging transmission process(S530), the system transmits a paging signal to a terminal of the third-party subscriber. At a paging acknowledgement checking process(S540) determines whether a paging acknowledgement from the third-party incoming subscriber is reached or not. If the paging acknowledgement is reached from the third-party incoming subscriber in the paging acknowledgement checking process(S540), at a third-party subscriber paging answering process(S560), the system response to the third-party subscriber's paging. At an originating release checking process(S570), the system determines whether the originating subscriber having the originating call switching function releases a connection or not. If the originating subscriber releases the connection, at an initial incoming subscriber's communication process(S610), the system cuts off the holding tone transmitted to the first incoming subscriber and simultaneously re-establishes the channel between the first incoming subscriber and the third-party incoming subscriber. |
