PURPOSE: An apparatus for displaying a state of an exterior car amplifier is provided to easily grasp an operation state of the exterior car amplifier by displaying the operation of the exterior car amplifier on a display window attached to a front panel of the exterior car amplifier or a display window attached to a car notice board. CONSTITUTION: A filtering unit outputs an audio signal inputted from a car audio unit without a signal process by an external switch operation, performs a low pass filtering of the audio signal to output the filtered audio signal, or performs a high pass filtering of the audio signal to output the filtered audio signal. An amplifying unit(20) amplifies the audio signal inputted from the filtering unit according to an amplification factor adjusted by the operation of an external switch(SW2) and outputs the amplified audio signal to a speaker(SP). A power unit(30) receives a battery power and generates a power supply voltage needed in the amplifying unit(20). A sensing unit outputs a sensing signal when over current or overheat is sensed. A protecting unit(50) stops an operation of the power unit(30) by over current or overheat sensing signal. A state display unit(60) displays a state. A main control unit(70) displays an operation of the power unit(30), a level of the battery power, an operation state of the external switch, and over current or overheat sensing state on the state display unit(60).
