PURPOSE: A system and method for determining prices on a network is provided to make B2B or B2C and to make a reasonable and reliable price decision. CONSTITUTION: An electronic commerce server(1) contains a database(10) and a comparison part(15). The database(10), connected with a seller client(5), receives and stores information from the seller client(5). The comparison part(15) is connected with a purchaser client(7) so that two-way communication can be achieved mutually. The comparison part(15) mutually compares the conditions of purchase and sale respectively provided from the purchaser client(7) and the seller client(5). The database(10) is comprised of a credit data part(13) and a goods data part(12). The credit data part(13) stores credit appraisal data for the seller client(5), including his assets and management performance. The goods data part(12) stores information for the condition of sale, such as goods prices, kinds and so on.
