PURPOSE: To solve such problem on conventional absorptive article that though side leakage of excretion is prevented by providing an absorbing sheet in a leakage preventing wall, excretion liquid flows backward to make dirty the skin or the leakage preventing wall is deformed to give the sense of incompatibility to a wearer. CONSTITUTION: This absorptive article has a density gradient such that the relationship of fiber densities of the respective parts of the sanitary napkin 1 is expressed as a groove part 4 > the leakage preventing wall 6A > a main absorbing area S, whereby excretion received by the leakage preventing wall 6A is smoothly transferred to the groove part 4 provided in a lower position of the leakage preventing wall 6A. The excretion liquid flowing out to the groove part 4 is kept from flowing backward to a surface sheet 5 of the main absorbing area S and the leakage preventing wall 6A. Thus, side leakage of the excretion liquid can be prevented so that dry touch and flexibility can be always kept.
