PURPOSE: An ultrasonic wave image system for receiving an overlay multiple scan line is provided to solve the distortion of a signal and the discontinuity of a scan line of an existing multi beam receiving ultrasonic image apparatus by receiving and focusing a multiple scan line with an overlay. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of array transducers(1) transmits the first group of ultrasonic wave pulse transmitted and focused at a predetermined transmitting scan line. After transmitting the ultrasonic wave pulse, each of the transducers(1) receives a reflecting signal. The reflecting signal received through the respective transducers(1) is converted into a digital signal in an A/D(analog/digital) converter(3). The digital signal is received and focused at a beam former(5) to form temporary scan line data. A plurality of scan line data is received and focused on the beam former(5). The temporary scan line data received and focused is stored in a memory(7). The sum of a weight of the scan line stored in the memory(7) is gained on a weight adder(9), and, therefore, a final scan line data is created.
