INTERNET TELEPHONE AND INTERNET TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An Internet telephone and Internet telephone communication system using the same is provided to improve quality, use the Internet telephone by a method same to a general telephone, and have compatibility with the general telephone by embodying a voice compression function in a hardware of a telephone. CONSTITUTION: A telephone unit(33) comprises general telephone circuits and performs a telephone function. A telephone/Internet signal processing unit(35) amplifies signals provided from the telephone unit(33) and processes telephone signals transmitted through the Internet. A main controller(36) transmits and receives IP(Internet Protocol) signals through a LAN(Local Area Network) or a modem of a computer using a USB port and controls a data transmission and receipt. A DSP(Digital Signal Processor)(31) is controlled by the main controller(36) and performs a compression/decompression of signals. A codec circuit(34) is controlled by the main controller(36), and performs an inter-conversion of an analog signal and a digital signal.
