PURPOSE: The elevator with protective function against safety accident is provided to prevent the hinge door from being closed while it is sensed that man or any object exists between the hinge doors, by safety sensor to be able to detect any object. CONSTITUTION: The elevator with protective function against safety accident comprises sensor groups(3a,3b) having many light emitting sensors and light receiving sensors at the face to face parts against the hinge door(1a,1b), a control part(7) to control closing and opening of the hinge door(1a,1b) using motor or solenoid. The control part(7) controls to close or open the hinge door(1a,1b) when signal of close switch or open switch is input and controls to close if open condition of the hinge door(1a,1b) is maintained for specified time. The sensor groups(3a,3b) senses whether any object exists or not between the hinge door and the detecting signal of the sensor groups(3a,3b) transfers to the control part(7), and the control part(7) controls to close or open the hinge door(1a,1b) according to the input detecting signal from the sensor groups(3a,3b). The control part(7) controls the driving motor or solenoid not to close the hinge door(1a,1b) while the detecting signal for any object is input if a detecting signal for any object is input.
