PURPOSE: A system and method for a vote using a network is provided for a user to excise his vote through a network without directly attending a general meeting of stockholders. CONSTITUTION: A vote service system is comprised of a stockholders' meeting support server(300), a CGI(Computer Gateway Interface)(310), a database server(400), a directory server(500), an enterprise server(600), a securities agency server(700), and an authentication server(800). If a stockholder computer(100) is physically connected with Internet(200), the stockholders' meeting support server(300) displays a webpage so that the user, a stockholder, can excise his vote. The CGI(310) processes information stored in the database server(400) according to a stockholder's information request received through the stockholders' meeting support server(300) and transfers a processing result to the stockholders' meeting support server(300). The database server(400) stores user information and identification information for stockholders. The directory server(500) processes information related to the issuance of a certificate of attestation authenticating a user as a stockholder. The enterprise server(600) provides referential items for management. The securities agency server(700) sends a nominal list of stockholders and an attendance card to notify stockholders to attend a general meeting of stockholders. The authentication server(800) issues a note of authentication to identify a stockholder.
