PURPOSE: A method for displaying advertisements and information using a multifunctional tool bar added on a browser is provided to reduce the resource burden of a user computer by manufacturing a completely integrated client tool bar, to offer various information to advertisement areas at any time, and to supply various functions, such as a consecutive information retrieval function, an SMS character calling function, etc., to users so that they can use Internet more conveniently. CONSTITUTION: A system for displaying advertisements and information using a multifunctional tool bar added on a browser is composed of a main server(10), an ad server(20), and a client tool bar program(50). The client tool bar program(50) is added on the browser. The main server(10) executes environment setup, user registration, user characteristic classification, user request processing and so forth. The ad server(30) has a function to send an advertisement according to a registered user's characteristic. The client tool bar consists of domains to provide an information retrieval function, a Hangul domain use function, securities information consecutive inquiry function, a one-click subscription function, etc., and a domain to display advertisements and information.
