PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current-limiting circuit for an inverter type refrigerator whose compressor can be operated stably by a method, where when an overcurrent is generated due to external causes, the pulse width modulating signal of an inverter is adjusted and is controlled, in such a way that a preset current flows, and to provide its control method. SOLUTION: The current-limiting circuit for the inverter type refrigerator is constituted, by comprising a power-supply part 100 which receives the application of an AC power supply AC and which supplies a power supply to a brushless DC motor 16. The circuit is constituted by comprising a current detection part 101, which detects a current flowing to the BLDC motor 16. The circuit is constituted by comprising a control part 200, in which a current detection signal to be output from the current detection part 101 is received as an input, and in which the level of a present detection current, corresponding to the current detection signal, is compared with the level of a preset limiting current for outputting a current-limiting control signal. The circuit is constituted by comprising a gate drive part 14, which controls the operation of the power-supply part 100 in accordance with the current-limiting control signal to be output from the control part 200. |
