PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel cell that enables production of high power making miniaturization possible, especially, a fuel cell of a solid polymer type, and to provide a method to manufacture it. SOLUTION: The separator for a fuel cell is composed by molding the mixed powders of carbon powders and a resin into a board-shape. A gas flow path potion in which plural ditches for a gas flow path are formed on one side or both sides has an electrical specific resistance of 2 × 10-4 Ω.m or lower. A frame portion positioned in a peripheral area has an electrical specific resistance of 3 × 10-4. Ω m or higher, and a gas path portion and a frame portion are integrally molded. A preliminary molded body for a gas path formed from a powder mixture of 100 wt. parts of carbon powders and 18-45 wt. parts of a binder resin, and a preliminary molded body for a frame body formed from a powder mixture of 100 wt. parts of carbon powders and 38-95 wt. parts of a binder resin, are filled in a metal mold and molded integrally with heat and pressure. |
