PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the color slippage of a color image by preventing a transfer starting position to the intermediate transfer body of each color toner from deviating. SOLUTION: In an image forming device using a DC brushless motor 2 as a driving motor of a polygon mirror 1 and forming the color image using a stepping motor 14 as a driving motor of a intermediate transfer body 11, the driving pulse of the stepping motor 14 is generated on the basis of the revolution detecting signal of the DC brushless motor 2 by using the ratio of the position signal Hsync of the polygon mirror 1 to the position signal Vsync of the intermediate transfer body 11 as integer and the ratio of the number of the surfaces of the polygon mirror 1 to the number of the magnetic poles of the DC brushless motor 2 as integer. The color slippage of a color image is prevented by synchronizing the phase of the intermediate transfer body 11 and the intermediate polygon mirror 1 and thus preventing the transfer starting position to the intermediate transfer body 11 of each color toner from deviating without adding a circuit, such as a frequency divider. |
