PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a resolution of a picture double, without having to improve the performance of components. SOLUTION: An image forming device is provided with an image expansion means 25, which expands multi-valued image data sent from an image editing device to binary picture data in the unit of pixels with a resolution twice as high as a transfer clock, a main scanning image data storage means 26 where one-line portion of image data is stored, a transfer data selection means 27 which selects effective data as an image forming object from image data stored in the main scanning image data storage means 26, an effective image area flag generation means 28 which indicates an area of effective data, and a data transfer means 29 which transfers effective data of the indicated area to the image output side. |
