PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high transmittance and excellent color separation of a color filter especially from a viewpoint of pigments. SOLUTION: The color filter contains C.I. pigment green 7, C.I. pigment yellow 139 and C.I. pigment yellow 185 or contains them and C. I. pigment green 36. Additionally the color filter has <=20% transmittance in 400-470 nm, <=20% transmittance in 610-650 nm, a wavelength of 40% transmittance on the short wavelength side of the transmission spectrum in 480-510 nm range, a wavelength of 40% transmittance on the long wavelength side of the transmission spectrum in 570-600 nm range and >=75% peak value of transmittance in the visible ray region. |
