<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape detector for metal band plate capable of accurately detecting the position of a running metal band plate and exactly measuring the shape of the metal band plate without scraching the metal band plate. SOLUTION: On a shape meter 10 consisting of a plurality of roll rotor 11, a running metal band plate (m) is wound. A device to detect load tension added by the metal band plate (m) to each roll rotor 11 is constituted of an image photographing device 20 for photographing an image G containing both edge parts of the metal band plate (m) wound around the shape meter 10, and an image processor, which is not shown in the figure, for processing the image G photographed by the image photographing device 20, calculating the positions x0 and x1 of the both edges of the metal band plate (m) and calculating the position relation R between the roll rotor 11 and the metal band plate (m).</p> |
