摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video network system with an inexpensive configuration that can monitor video images of cameras with the number of monitors less than the number of cameras without the use of a switcher, reduce waste in traffic in a network, avoid usual transmission of useless data and reduce waste in operating bands. SOLUTION: Each of data transmitters is provided with a communication path changeover means that switches video data and control data of a video unit connected to a concerned transmitter so as to be sent to a controller connected to a specific data transmitter or through an optional communication path on an ATM instructed by the controller connected to the concerned transmitter in the case that the video data outputted from the video unit connected to the concerned data transmitter and the control data for the video unit are transmitted through the ATM channel.
