PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support device which stably supports a ladder on the ground irrelevant to the deformation and inclination of the ground. SOLUTION: This support device for the ladder is so formed that a widthwise long base member 1 is provided with clamping members 3 clamping the both legs P and P of the ladder respectively in its front left/right positions and support mechanisms 2 are provided in the left/right sides of the base material 1 so as to adjust the projection from the bottom face of the base member 1 of the supports 14.
