PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication device which accurately discriminates contradictions in color facsimile communication of current ITU-T recommendations, to realize color communication by 300 dpi or 400 dpi when it is at the transmitter side. SOLUTION: The image communication device capable of color facsimile communication is provided with a selection means, which selects color communication with a high resolution and a register means which resisters a high resolution, with which color communication is possible, as the high resolution with respect to each destination.
