PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stationary voltage regulator which can provide margin in the output within a shorter period of time than before. SOLUTION: A control unit 9 inputs a detected voltage V and a detected current I outputted from voltage detectors 4, 7 and current detectors 5, 8 and outputs a control signal for adjusting a reactive power flowing into a reactive power control circuit 2 to a reactive power control circuit 2. Moreover, the control unit 9 outputs, when the detected voltage V is within the preset voltage range, a control signal for approximating a reactive power generated in the inside to the preset reactive power to the reactive power control circuit 2 and also outputs, when the detection voltage V is out of the preset voltage range, a control signal for putting the detected voltage into the preset voltage range to the reactive power control circuit 2.
