PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanning apparatus an automatic document feeder and an image forming system by which the image information on a both-sided document can be read with high accuracy by preventing the mutual optical interference between 1st and 2nd scanning means even if arranging the 1st and 2nd scanning means close to each other in order to miniaturize the automatic document feeder. SOLUTION: A roller 42 preventing the mutual optical interference between a scanner 32 and an image sensor 107 is arranged on a document feeding path between the scanner 32 and the image sensor 107.
