PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a gap between an electrifying member and the surface of an image carrier such as a photoreceptor from being changed even though environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity are changed. SOLUTION: Projected parts 60a and 61a are respectively formed at the parts of the flanges 60, 61 formed of a material whose thermal expansion coefficient is small of a photoreceptive drum 5, and both end parts of the elastic member 17 of an electrifying roller 14 are brought into contact with the parts of the projected parts 60a and 61a, so that a gap G is formed between the part of the electrification effective area Ac of the electrifying roller 14 and the surface of the photoreceptive drum 5. Even though the part of the elastic member 17 of the electrifying roller 14 is expanded and is shrunk by the change of the environmental condition, the projected parts 60a and 61a on the side of the photoreceptive drum 5 are hardly expanded and shrunk, so that the fluctuation of the gap G is suppressed. |
